BABY JAM FESTIVAL PERFORMANCES FOR THE VERY YOUNG

BABY JAM is a series of performance events special for our littlest community members! Music, movement, art installations and sensory play is featured at weekend pop-up events for little ones age 0 - 4 and their families.

Our new local programs for babies (ages 0-4) and their families, in support of the health and mental wellness of parents, caregivers, and their children at the birth, infant, and toddler stages. Offering a soothing and supportive environment for new parents, BABY JAM is a community building initiative promoting mental wellness through the arts.

Operating similar to a pop-up festival, families are welcomed to purchase a family pass ($40 for up to 4 people) giving them autonomous access to our schedule of short performances ranging from live music, African storytelling, Indigenous performance, theatre created for babies participation, and a creative open free place sensory space. Trained artists/staff who specialize in working with babies and young audiences will support your family throughout BABY JAM.

BABY JAM is under the artistic vision of fellow parent Erica Petty, 2023 winner of the PARC Retirement Living Mid Career Award (Pro Art Alliance) for her work introducing baby theatre to Victoria BC and changing the landscape of theatre for young audiences (TYA).
